Fikayo Tomori is a professional football player from England. He was born on December 19, 1997, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, but represents England internationally. Tomori predominantly plays as a central defender but can also operate as a right-back. Tomori began his youth career at the Chelsea academy and progressed through their ranks. In 2016, he made his senior debut for the club in the English Football League (EFL) Cup. However, he found it difficult to establish himself in the first team and subsequently had loan spells at Brighton & Hove Albion, Hull City, and Derby County. It was during his loan spell at Derby County in the 2018-2019 season, under the management of Frank Lampard, that Tomori flourished and showcased his abilities. He played a key role in their push for promotion to the Premier League, earning praise for his defensive performances. Upon returning to Chelsea, Tomori finally broke into the first team. In the 2019-2020 season, he made 22 appearances in the Premier League and impressed with his speed, strength, and ability to read the game.
